For over 15 years Katy Anderson and Patrick Medrano have been submerged in the arts in Houston, Texas and abroad. What started out as a love story between a photographer and a painter sculpture,  has over the years blossomed into a thriving and much sought after collaborative  art entity. Although Medrano and Anderson's solo art careers have grows significantly, it's their collaborative work that has flourished, giving birth to what is now simply known as "ANDERSON+MEDRANO".  With backgrounds as different as their personalities, Medrano and Anderson become one in their works of art. "Our process is always the same" the duo explains, "we shoot, paint and build what our individual hearts desire. Then through the shuffle of life they find there way into each others frame." Katy's beautifully soft black/white photos giving comfort and balance to Patrick's hand on soulful brush strokes and custom fit structures. A unique balance of light and darkness.

"Patrick Medrano's, 3D works, paintings, and interactive devices intrigue viewers into searching within, to face, a sometimes not so pleasant reality of the world around us, including ourselves. Many works also include photographs taken by wife and collaborative partner, Katy Anderson. In the twelve years they have spent together they have produced over 350 now sold pieces of collaborative works and shown in Paris, France and most recently in Athens, Greece. " Katy Anderson's thought provoking photography captures memories, emotions, and purpose of being, leaving the viewer content and eager to drink in more. With harmony, perfect blending of conception and form, the two become one, contained within collaborations of true unison, completing a breath taking tour of the visual experience." - Max Boyd Harrison l Gallery M Squared

Dear Reader,

In an effort to not sound insincere, it’s important to understand that since an early age I have devoted my life and mind to the remarkable world of the arts. With no formal arts education but an un-moveable belief in my own artistic vision, it has been a journey that has taken my art and myself to places as far away as museums in Peru and Paris, France. With only a great understanding of what it means to be blessed, I can say that that when I was young I sometimes thought if you told too much of your vision perhaps it would be scared away, never to return again. So I’ll simply say that my art is absolutely from the heart and created just for you “the viewer”. Thank you for the interest in my work.
